Israel Targetes Ground Operations Against Hezbollah in Lebanon
Reports say troops from the 91st Division carried out the operations to “strengthen” the forward defense zone along Israel’s northern border, with the military describing the efforts as part of broader defensive measures aimed at establishing and reinforcing a forward security posture.
According to reports, the operations involve dismantling Hezbollah’s infrastructure and neutralizing its members in the area, with the goal of reducing threats and providing additional security for residents in northern Israel.
Before sending ground forces, Israeli military units reportedly targeted multiple Hezbollah positions with artillery and airstrikes conducted by the Israeli Air Force to weaken threats in the operational zone.
The army also indicated that it will continue operations against Hezbollah, which it accused of participating in hostilities under the backing of Iran’s government, according to reports.
