Lebanon Drone Strike Kills Israeli Military Doctor

(MENAFN) An Israeli military doctor was killed and seven other soldiers were wounded after an explosive drone targeted Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, the military announced on Monday.

In an official statement, the army identified the deceased as Capt. Uri Yosef Silvester, 30, from Tel Aviv, a physician serving with the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade.

According to the military, Silvester was killed when an explosives-packed drone struck troops operating in southern Lebanon.

The attack also left three soldiers — including two officers — seriously injured. Another soldier suffered moderate wounds, while two officers and an additional soldier sustained light injuries, the army said.

The incident marks another deadly strike involving drone attacks amid ongoing military operations and heightened tensions along the Israel-Lebanon front.
